1993Mexican Silver Libertad

The Mexican Silver Libertad series began in 1982 and represents one of North America's most iconic silver bullion coins. This 1993 issue features the classic design of the Winged Victory of Samothrace (Victoria Alada) with outstretched wings, symbolizing Mexico's independence and liberty. The coin displays 'PLATA PURA' (Pure Silver) and the Mexican mint mark 'Mo' with an assayer mark. The reverse (not visible) typically shows the Mexican coat of arms surrounded by historical versions of the same emblem. The Libertad series is notable for containing no face value marking, instead relying on its precious metal content for value. The 1993 mintage occurred during a period when the series was establishing itself in the international precious metals market, making it a significant year for collectors and investors alike.
